Accessibility and Consultation Environment
For individuals currently incarcerated, evaluations are conducted within the correctional facility and coordinated with staff to ensure confidentiality, safety, and appropriate assessment conditions. Although certain aspects of the environment are determined by institutional policy, the evaluation process remains focused on accessibility and integrity.
Accommodations related to communication, pacing, or emotional regulation are provided to the extent permitted by facility guidelines. The goal is to support clarity, fairness, and full engagement while accounting for the realities of incarceration and its impact on mental health and functioning.
The evaluation approach remains trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with best practices for forensic assessment in carceral settings.
